A. CCC stands for Color Construct Code.
A. A code which converts digital data, such as text, image, audio, and more into a color matrix.
Q. What is the difference compared to other codes?
A. The upmost difference is in its data capacity.
Barcode obtains 13 digit numbers. QR code, although it has the capacity of maximum 2.5kbyt, its usage mostly relies on internet connection to import information. Color C Code, its large data capacity enables to have no reliance on internet connection.
*There are limits in the data capacity.
Q. What are the features of Color C Code?
A.
1. It is capable of encoding any type of digital data.
2. The code is printable on press and consumer based ink jet printers, therefore printing costs can be cut.
3. A large data capacity.
4. No reliance on internet connection, therefore, information can be directly retrieved from the code.
Q. Can data formats other than text be encoded?
A. Any digital data format such as images, audio, animation can be encoded.
Q. What is CCC User Support Site?
A. This site was opened to provide supporting services for CCC license holders.
Services include generation of CCC, manual downloads, and access to our support desk.
A. A claimed encoding application is needed to create a code.
The encoding procedure is effortless.
First select a data you want to encode on the encoding browser, and then press encode. The code will be saved in the selected folder. The number of cells can be selected manually or automatically according to the data size.
Q. What kind of environment is required to create a code?
A. If you are to generate a code using our ASP service, only a PC with internet connection is required. If you have a customized encoding software, please contact the manufacturer of the software.
Q. Can code size be selected freely?
A. Recommended size vary according to the data size, but code size can be set freely.
Q. Can the number of cells be selected freely?
A.
The storable data capacity of CCC is proportional to the number of cells*. Therefore, the number of cells depends on the data size you wish to store inside CCC.
*Cells are small colored squares that structure CCC.
Q. Difference between code size?
A. Code size is structured by cells. As the number of cells increase, the capacity to store data will increase as well.
Q. Difference between cell size?
A. Recommended cell size will change according to the printer, printing environment (paper media, printing method, etc.), and reading device (mobile device, scanner, digital camera, web camera, etc.)
A. Only square shapes can be generated in Standard, and square and rectangular shapes can be generated in Free Cell. Future research and development is required for the generation of triangular and circular shaped codes.
Q. Can the number of colors be changed?
A. Currently, 8 colors can only be selected.
A. They are error correcting levels.
As the number of level increases, the more correction applied for natural incidents such as light reflection during decoding or damages on the code.
Q. What is the maximum storable data capacity of the code.
A. Currently the maximum data capacity of CCC is approximately 60KB. However, reading device will be limited.
Q. Are there restrictions for printers?
A. There are no special resrictions as long as the printer prints in color. (i.e. printable on consumer based inkjet printer/color lazor printers/card ptinters "ink ribbon method" and offset printers of print farms. ) However, the code size must be cutomed according to the printing quality and method.
Q. Are there spcifications on paper?
A. There are no particular specifications on paper as long as the media color is white. In order to reading accuracy of the code, we recommend you to use a paper media that has a high color reproducibility such as glazed and coated paprt.
Q. Are there specifications during printing?
A. We recommend you to print in the highest quality possible on inkjet printers and lazor printers.
Q. Are there specifications during offset printing?
A. Please contact us for detailed information on printing at print farms.
A. CCC can be read by taking its image by a importing device (scanner, web camera, digital camera, mobile device etc.) and decoding + originating through the reading application.
CCC reader application
Q. How can I view the decoded content?
A. The decoded data can be viewed if you have an application that supports the data format. Please make sure of the decoding environment of target users before encoding your contents.
Q. What kind of device is required to read the code?
A. A reader application (official reader for Windows / CCC mobile reader) provided by CCT, is necessary to read the code.
For the official reader for Windows, an image importing device such as a scanner, digital camera, or web camera is necessary.
Q. Can I use my mobile to read the code?
A. Please install our CCC mobile reader.
* Please check your mobile type before installing our application.
Supported Mobile Devices
Q. What is the reading accuracy?
A. The reading accuracy will change according to the specifics of the reading device and reading environment. Accuracy will also change according to the printing quality and CCC code type and size.
Q. Can the code be read after the colors are distorted?
A. If there are only a minor color distortion, the application will automatically calibrate and originate the stored data. However, if is has a extreme color distortion, the code may not be available for decoding.
