| About Color C Code A. CCC stands for Color Construct Code A. A code which converts digital data, such as text, image, audio, and more into a color matrix. Q. What is the difference compared to other codes? A. The upmost difference is in its data capacity. Q. What are the features of Color C Code? A. There are 4 main features. Q. Can data formats other than text be encoded? A. Any digital data formats such as images, audio, animation can be encoded. Creating Codes (Encode) A. A claimed encoding application is needed to create a code. Q. What kind of environment is needed to encode the code? A. Only a PC (win) and a claimed encoding software are needed to encode. Q. Can the code size be selected freely? A. Yes. The code size can be both expanded and reduced on editing softwares, however, there are limits. Q. Can the cell size be selected freely? A. Yes. The cell size is proportional to the elasticity of the code size, therefore, the code size can be selected freely. Q. Can the number of cells be selected freely? A. This depends on the edition of the encoder and decoder. If the code version is "Standard Edition," (code with the guide strip) the number of cells cannot be selected freely, instead numbers must be selected from the provided patterns. Q. What are the differences between code sizes? A. It is also dependent on the number of cells, however, it mainly changes according to the amount of data. As the amount of data increase, the code size will increase as well. Q. What are the difference between cell sizes? A. The cell size changes according to the amount of information and importing device. As the amount of data increases, the cell size must be decreased and the cell number increased. However, depending on the circumstance of importing devices, the cell sizes are not importable. Therefore, according to the amount of data, the code size, and the importing device, the cell size varies. A. Only squares can be generated at present. However, the company is currently developing other shapes such as rectangles. Q. Can the number of colors be selected? A. In current development, only 8 colors can be selected. However, further development is in progress. Q. What do Levels 1,2,3 apply to? A. The levels are redundant levels. As the number increases, more restoration capability is provided for incidents such as light reflection during decoding and damages on the code. Q. What are the limits of the data capacity of the code? A. Theoretically, the data capacity is limitless. However, as the data capacity increases, the code size will increase as well. Therefore, the decoding time will increase, and common usage becomes questionable. Printing Codes with consumer based printers Q. Are there specified printers to print the code? A. Any consumer based printer is capable for printing color c code. However, the printed code may not suit to decode, according to the printing quality and print settings. We recommend ink jet printers that have high quality print settings, i.e. photo print settings, especially for printing small sized codes. Q. Are there paper specifications? A. There are no particular specifications for paper, however, we recommend glossy paper for ink jet printers. Q. Are there specified print settings? A. It depends on the number of cells of the code, however, we recommend the setting to always be set to the highest quality. |
Concerning Press Q. Are there required printing conditions? Q. Are there paper specifications? Q. Can it be printed with other data? A. Please contact us for detail. Reading codes(Decode) Q. How can we import the code? A. Any device that can import images, such as a scanner, web camera, digital camera, mobile phone, etc, is capable of importing the code. Q. How can we decode the imported code? A. By running it through the exclusive decoding software, the original data of the code image is restored. Q. What kind of environment is needed in order to decode? A. A PC (win), an importing device (scanner, web camera, mobile phone, digital camera), and a claimed encoding software are needed to decode. Q. Can the code be decoded with mobile phones? A. Currently, the decoding application for mobile phones is in development. However, decoding is possible if the camera on a mobile phones is used only as an importing device and the code image is transported into the PC. Please note that precision of the camera and the shooting environment are required to import the code. Q. What are the precisions to import a code? A. It differs according to importing devices, the shooting environment, and the standard and cell size of the code. Q. Does discoloraton of color patterns effect the reading of codes? A. The code can be decoded if all 8 colors are equally discolored and the color difference is identifiable. etc Q. Are the post for sales agencies offered? A. Yes. Please contact us for more information. Q. Are the codes offered as products for OEMs? A. Yes. Please contact us for more information. Concerning Demonstration Q. How can we register for demonstration? A. Registration is available through phone and email. Also, a registration form is provided in the "Demonstration and Sample" page of our web site. Q. Is the demonstration location selectable? A. Tokyo, and the surrounding 6 prefectures are the main locations where we are able to demonstrate Color C Code. However, we are eager to meet demands. Please feel free to contact us for further information. |
